We are looking for an Intern Instrumentation & Control Engineer .

With already more than 100 Employees, Técnicas Reunidas has set a permanent Operations Office in Istanbul from which it will not only develop engineering activities for projects inside Turkey but also for projects worldwide in collaboration with main headquarters in Madrid (Spain). In fact, in the first 5 months since Técnicas Reunidas İstanbul started, Engineering Activities have been developed from referred office for more than 40 different projects and proposals worldwide from 20 different countries, which stands as remarkable sign of work and workload stability.

Candidate will be part of the Instrumentation and Control department, participating in international bids, FEEDs and EPC Oil&Gas, Petrochemical, Power & Water, Decarbonization and Energy Transition projects. I&C department has the responsibility to design and to produce all the documents and necessary drawings related to Field Instrumentation (Sensors, Transmitters, Actuated Valves, etc.) and Control Systems (PLCs, DCS, ESD, BMS, SCADAS, etc.) for the construction of the plant. The candidate may be also involved in some other activities related to FGS and associated design (layouts, data sheets, C&E matrixes, etc.). The candidate will be assigned with a Tutor that will act as Coach during the internship and will guide him/her technically and corporatively all over the process.

Specific Activities to be performed

• Process and Instruments Diagrams (P&IDs) revision and comments, identifying symbology and understanding the main information for Equipment, Valves, Pipes and Instrumentation.
• Instruments Data Sheets preparations & Sizing Calculations, using SmartPlant Instrumentation as Software, and identifying the necessary process information requiring to perform this activity.
• Understanding of Control System Architecturas and Block Diagrams where Communicated and hardwired interfaces with OTHER and 3rd Party Systems are shown.
• I&C Project Specifications review and preparation, being able to identify CLIENT’s, LICENSOR’s, International Codes & Standards and Department’s Technical requirements.
• Instruments Database Setup and preparations of Instruments & Signals Lists.
• Review of Cause & Effect diagrams and Control Logic diagrams, being able to Identify the necessary information from Process, HSE, Packages and others.
• Preparations of the necessary documentations for Material Requisitions For Inquiry and Purchase, and Technical Bid Evaluation of Vendor’s quotations.
• Instrumentation Vendor Drawings review, being able to understand their main characteristics and compliance with Project Specifications.
• Preparations of Level Vessel Sketches, understanding the interfaces with Other departments and the impact on equipment and Instr. Ranges.
• Knowledge on requirements by International Codes & Standards like  ISA, IEC, ASME, ANSI, API, ASTM, ISO, Shell DEP, PTS.

Educational & Skills Requirements

• Recently graduated or currently undertaking studies in Elektrik Mühendisliği Bölümü (Electrical Engineering), Elektronik ve Haberleşme Mühendisliği Bölümü (Electronics and Communication Engineering ), and Kontrol ve Otomasyon Mühendisliği Bölümü ( Control and Automation Engineering ) with preference in ITÜ  (Istanbul Teknik Üniversitesi) and Boğaziçi University due to proximity to offices (Maslak Area).
• Knowledge in Microsoft Office Softwares (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
• Additional knowledge in calculation and design softwares (Matlab, AutoCAD, etc.)
• Capable of understanding dimensional and schematic engineering drawings.
• Türkçe and English professional working proficiency level.
• A growth mindset. A willingness to have a go and learn new skills in a dynamic team.
• Organised, capable of working well within a team and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
