SUSTAINABILITY ANALYST JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary:

Sustainability analyst is responsible for analyzing the environmental impact of Karel’s operations and products, and  tasked with developing plans to reduce negative impacts and increase positive ones in corporation with manufacturing sites and sales offices.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Environmental Impact Assessment:
   • Conduct thorough assessments of the company’s environmental impacts, including resource consumption, waste generation, and greenhouse gas emissions associated with manufacturing and sales &logistics processes.
   • Identify areas of improvement and innovation to minimize the Karel’s environmental footprint, including energy efficiency, waste reduction, and emissions reduction strategies.
2. Road Map / Action Plan Development:
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement a comprehensive road maps/action plans aligned with the company’s goals and industry best practices.
   • Recommend actionable measures to integrate sustainability principles into the Karel’s daily operations, supply chain, and product development processes.
3. Data Collection and Analysis:
   • Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to sustainability metrics, using various tools and methodologies.
   • Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate progress, key performance indicators, and areas for improvement to company stakeholders.
4. Regulatory Compliance:
   • Stay up-to-date with relevant environmental regulations, industry standards, and sustainability trends.
   • Ensure company practices and products comply with local, national, and international environmental regulations.
5. Innovation and Research:
   • Keep abreast of emerging technologies, materials, and practices in the sustainable electronic card sector aligned with the R&D teams.
   • Identify opportunities for innovation and recommend strategies to incorporate sustainable materials and processes into product design and manufacturing.

6. Stakeholder Engagement:
   • Collaborate with internal teams, customers, suppliers, and external partners to promote sustainable practices and foster a culture of sustainability throughout the company.
7. Educational Initiatives:
   • Develop educational materials and training programs to raise awareness and understanding of sustainability principles among employees and stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Proven experience in sustainability analysis, preferably within the electronic industry or manufacturing sector.
• Knowledge and experience about ISO 14001, 9001 standarts.
• Familiarity with environmental metrics, life cycle assessment, and sustainability frameworks.
• Strong understanding of environmental regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing sustainability challenges.
