Rencons Heavy Industries – “RHI” carries out heavy industry projects in all leading sectors: hydrocarbons, power, metallurgy, and mining, as well as processing plants, in Russia.

In cooperation with its sister companies and through strategic partnerships, RHI provides engineering, procurement, construction, operation, and management services for large-scale projects.

We are looking for a “Steel Works Group Chief” for our heavy industry project taking place in Ust Luga, Leningrad Oblast of the Russian Federation.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Civil, Mechanical Engineering or a related field of Engineering,
• Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in steel works, fabrication, design and installationin heavy industry projects,
• Experienced in project and site management in Power & Heat, Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects,
• Advanced knowledge of industry standards and regulations (ASME, EN) related to steel works; familiarity with Russian standards and regulations (GOST) is a big plus,
• Strong proficiency in MS Office programs, MS Project, AutoCAD, etc.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in Russian is preferred,
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams,
• Excellent report drafting skills,
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively coordinate, motivate and inspire a team,
• Ability to work and lead well under pressure in a fast-paced work environment,
• Highly motivated and detail-oriented character without neither losing focus of the project goals nor the sight of the big picture,

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Being responsible for all steel works/manufacturing/installation activities within the given scope in the field,
• Management and administration of the field teams and subcontractors under charge,
• Regular reporting of steel works activities and work progress to the superiors and technical office,
• Daily tracking of labour-hour efficiency in steel works activities, with weekly reporting to the superiors and technical office,
• Control of materials before and during the manufacturing phase,
• Supervising, monitoring and ensuring the steel works activities of subcontractors and field teams, are being done by the quality standards and production methods,
• Tracking test and control points specified in the method statements for all steel works activities within the given scope,
• Ensuring that subcontractors and field teams work by occupational safety rules during the construction process,
• Checking subcontractors’ quantity survey and progress payments reports,
