Yılmaden Holding, established in 2014, is the metals and mining division of Yıldırım Group of Companies, a fast-growing industrial conglomerate based in Istanbul, Turkey. At Yılmaden, we work together across all business units located in 7 different countries with one objective that is extracting the valuable minerals such as chromite from the ground and turn it into ferroalloys, chrome metals and chemicals.

For our growing organization, we are looking for an Underground Planning & Operations Manager to be based in Maslak Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the mining industry, experience with underground mine planning
• Fluent in English
• Professionally using Mining software programs
• Willing and able to travel and work in remote locations for extended times
• Have experience in mine design, project optimization, equipment selection, smart mining applications, production scheduling, and OPEX and CAPEX estimation
• Cross discipline and cross cultural communication experience is highly desirable.   

Job Description     

• Responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of underground mining operations within our company.
• Knowledge of a comprehensive understanding of mining methodologies, technological advancements, safety protocols, and strategic planning to ensure efficient and sustainable mining practices
• Develop and execute underground mine plans aligned with company objectives, considering production targets, cost efficiencies, and safety standards.
• Utilize advanced software and data analysis tools to optimize mine design, sequencing, and scheduling, maximizing efficiency in extraction and utilization of resources.
• Apply expertise in mining methodologies, geological assessments, and surveying techniques to assess ore reserves and ensure accurate mine plans.
• Manage the team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster a culture of safety, innovation, and productivity,
• Reporting of ore reserves, ensuring accurate reporting in compliance with industry standards.
• Follow technological advancements in mining to implement in companies mining projects
• Implement strategies to maximize reserves utilization, including equipment, manpower, and technology, to enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
