Fps Turkey Ambalaj San. ve Tic. Staj Başvurusu – Sr. Financial Reporting Specialist

Reporting to the Finance Controller based in Istanbul, the role will be the right hand of the Finance controller and play a key role in the finance department. The role works closely with the Finance Controller to deliver world-class accounting, reporting and internal controls environment.

Job Description:

• Completing ownership of the monthly financial closure, the monthly HFM submission, management reporting as well and the preparation of financial statements (both IFRS and statutory Reporting)
• Ensuring the group accounting policy (IFRS) is implemented and will also prepare the statutory accounts together with appropriate working papers to a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.
• involving ensuring the accounting and financial reporting are correct, according to IFRS.
• Review the balance sheet account reconciliations and ensure that they are performed in a consistent and timely manner and discuss with members of the accounting team if any accounting adjustments are needed.
• Providing advice on the handling of complex ad hoc transactions or issues and will also provide training to the members of the finance & and accounting department whenever needed.
• Managing the yearly audit and being the first point of contact for the auditors (BigFour), to deliver timely and effective audit closure without material adjustments for both IFRS and Statutory reporting.
• Providing financial analysis (e.g. balance sheet, P&L statement, manufacturing cost analysis etc.) to management and delivering ad hoc balance sheet and P&L account deep dives.
• Maintaining and strengthening internal controls, as well as driving process excellence in all finance processes. The role will identify opportunities for improvement and needs for change in processes. He/she will highlight, escalate and support the resolutions of risks identified in current processes.
• Involves building a strong connection with other department heads through regular interactions.
• Performing a regular review with other departments to identify any issues and quantify their probable financial impact and be proactive in resolving in advance of quarter-end and year-end financial closure (accruals, impairment, etc.).

Profile:

• Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or another related field.
• You are fluent in English and Turkish.
• You are a qualified accountant with a minimum of 10 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting of a global organization. You have at least 5 years of relevant experience in IFRS and financial reporting.
• If you have knowledge Turkish GAAP and IFRS are big plus.
• You have strong communication and interpersonal qualities.
• You have an analytical mind and can show initiative.
